The pointed end of the firecracker inserts from fireworks specialist Weco are pushed or pressed (secretly, of course!) as far forward as possible into the cigarette or cigar so that the firecracker insert is no longer visible.

Then you just have to wait for the smoker to light the prepared cigarette or cigar. As soon as the glowing embers have reached the banger insert, the cigarette or cigar explodes at the front of the tip, making it safe for the smoker and providing a bright surprise.

A great party gag!
