Products description
The popular pocket boög for Sechseläuten
Height: 34cm
Sechseläuten is a festival of joy. The dark, cold winter nights are bid farewell and spring is welcomed. Thousands of costumed guild members and tens of thousands of spectators fill the city of Zurich on the Sechseläuten weekend. Part of the Zurich Spring Festival is a colorful children's parade on Sunday and the procession of the guilds to the bonfire on Monday. The highlight is the symbolic burning of winter in the shape of a snowman - the Böögg.
The Rauti Workshop, an institution of the RgZ Foundation(www.stiftung-rgz.ch), operates various production workshops and day care centers at Rautistrasse 75 in Zurich-Altstetten. The production of the original Pocket Böögg and the new mini version takes place 100% in sheltered workshops and gives people with disabilities meaningful employment and makes them proud to be involved in the production of this traditional product.
