Fire gels, fire pastes and fire liquids

Burning time and flame height
The burning time and flame height depend on the following factors:

• The amount of combustible material or the applied layer thickness influences the burning time
• The size of the surface to which the flammable material is applied influences the flame height
• The ambient temperature has a slight influence on the flame height and burning time
• The size of the flame and thus the radiant heat of the flame, which heats up the combustible material, influences the flame height and burning time. (This comes into play with flames higher than 1 m)

Difference between fire gel and fire paste

• Burning gel and burning paste with a normal, yellow flame burn absolutely identically.
• Colored flames can only be achieved with fire pastes.
• Burning gel is transparent, the burning paste is white or black.
• The burning gel is stickier than the burning paste and is easier to apply to non-horizontal surfaces.
• Burning gel leaves a very small amount of a hard, black residue.
• Branding pastes leave behind approx. 60 % of the original volume of the branding paste as a crumbly, white residue.
• Branding gels have a longer service life in the open air. Branding pastes dry out more quickly.
