Use this 3M ( 9 ft.) extension cable to achieve a better antenna position . Simply connect the extension cable to your 18R, 18R2 or 18M and connect the antenna to the other end of the cable. Use a simple cable tie to mount the antenna to another surface.

Also note that any lengthening of the antenna cable will slightly decreasethe signal strength, but this is often offset by an improved connection between the transmitter and receiver .As a general rule of thumb, if a module is mounted on the ground at least 200M (600 yards) away, you willget at least 5-10 DMB improvement by raising the antenna by 1M (3 feet) .
