Bengal torch for balloons

How to conjure up an unforgettable night-time light show for your guests: Fill round balloons with a diameter of at least 33 cm (e.g. R110 or R140) with helium. The ZS fastener is also used to attach the wooden sticks of the balloon torches to the balloon (simply push them in). Each guest receives a helium balloon with a torch. When all guests are ready, light the balloon torches with a candle, a lighter or a garden torch and release them immediately. Little by little, the sky will fill with shining, twinkling stars.

Important: Never start all the flares at the same time and stand a few meters apart at the start so that the flares do not destroy each other in flight and crash. After approx. 90 seconds, the balloon flares extinguish automatically and the balloons continue to fly for a few kilometers.

Warnings - Please note!

Balloon flares are fireworks and do not belong in the hands of children. Never let balloon flares fly if there is a risk of forest fires in the vicinity. Stand at a sufficient distance from buildings, large vehicles and trees. Pay attention to the wind direction. The flares must not be launched in strong winds or rain, otherwise they may take an unpredictable direction or even crash. Once flares are alight, they are practically impossible to extinguish. If necessary, keep a bucket of water or a water hose at the ready. The launching of balloon flares is not permitted within a 5 km radius of an airport with a skyguide air traffic control zone (CTR).

Flying the cheaper sparklers (with wire instead of wooden sticks) is prohibited in Switzerland. Reason: Wire sticks that land on pastures, meadows or cornfields would be eaten by livestock. The wires puncture the cows' and calves' stomachs and they die miserably. This risk does not exist with wooden sticks, i.e. balloon flares.
